Honoring Juneteenth

Honoring Juneteenth. Commemorating the fall of slavery in Galveston, Texas two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued in 1863 to free enslaved Black people held in the Confederacy.

Our awarenesses of the ongoing work for safety and equity for all is vital in our daily practices of living, exploring and standing up for what we have learned: never to go backwards. We seek to learn from the mistakes and pain of the past and be brave holding hands for a better future.
